An astute clinical microbiologist , Dr. Simernjeet Kaur , has been serving as Consultant at Care hospital Bathinda right from the day of its inception back in the year 2012. She undertook her MBBS from Govt. Medical College, Patiala in the year 2003. Given her strong academic and clinical credentials . Dr. Kaur went on to complete her MD from the prestigious PGIMER Chandigarh- North India’s premier Medical Education & Research hospital.

As Director Neo Clinical lab at Care hospital Bathinda , Dr. Simernjeet Kaur oversees all Clinical, pathological, Operational, and quality assurance practices. It is under her command that Care Hospital has set up one of the most advanced Neo Clinical pathology Labs and automated diagnostic facilities. It runs in accordance with NABH prescribed protocols using state-of-the-art Digital Lab hardware and medical Computing technology.

Dr. Kaur oversees the prevention, diagnosis , and treatment of illnesses particular related to Medical Gastroenterology caused by microorganisms. She helps identify the best treatment Plans for specific infectious diseases in GI and monitors patient treatment follow ups . She works as a close aide to Dr. Gursewak Singh in peculiar Lab related patient management issues.

She heads the IBD Clinic at Care Hospital and has been instrumental in creating a pool of trained laboratory staff, which efficiently manage both the OPD and IPD patient’s lab investigations .The ICU at Care hospital works seamlessly under her supervision by ensuring all compliances for patient safety and quality (infection free) treatment services.

Dr. Simernjeet Kaur has a keen interest in academic and clinical research & has published a variety of content in Microbiology. Her specialization is in the field of epidemiology of various diseases, predominantly IBD. She conducted extensive research on trichomoniasis in HIV patients and Cervical Carcinoma patients at PGI Chandigarh.

With her vision to foster research and Clinical Interchange, Dr. Kaur has recently initiated a unique concept at Care hospital Bathinda, wherein members of the medical fraternity of Malwa region converge and meet every week at a dedicated facility center set up by the Care Hospital.
